Why We Need Orthodontic Retainers

In reality, orthodontic retainers are just as important as your braces or aligners in that they need to be worn to prevent your teeth from drifting back to how they were before. While braces and aligners do a great job of shifting teeth, they can and do have a tendency to relapse or drift back to their original starting positions particularly when there are large teeth movements involved.

For this reason, we ask all our orthodontic patients to wear orthodontic retainers in Emerald or Rockhampton for a period of time after completing their orthodontic treatment. Failure to do so may result in a complete relapse despite your (and our) best efforts. Retainers are worn for as long as it takes for the teeth to settle into their new position. Typically, as a rule of thumb, patients need to wear their retainer for a little longer than their braces treatment.

We offer patients several ways to pay including cash, credit card, and HICAPS. In addition, our dentist in Rockhampton and Emerald offers several flexible payment options that allow you to spread payments over a number of weeks or months. These include: ZIP Pay, AfterPay, Open Pay or the National Dental Plan.

We also accept all forms of valid health insurance and are preferred providers of BUPA. Finally, we accept DVA, CDBS and XHP vouchers.

Q: Do you offer any promotions on services when patients visit your dental clinic in Rockhampton QLD?

Yes. We currently offer $5.00 off your bill if your dental appointment is booked online. We also run a loyalty system whereby points turn into cash – 1000 loyalty points, for example, equates to $50.00 – which can be used to pay for dental treatments for up to 1 year.

We also offer a $250 referral fee for Invisalign treatment towards any future treatments and free take-home teeth whitening treatment for every Invisalign patient.

Absolutely. Many of our current patients come from the surrounding suburbs, but because we are an affordable, full-service dentist, we regularly see patients from outside of these areas.
